Show CITY DEPRIVES TWO OF BEEUICENSES Pursuing a policy established October Oc-tober 27, city commissioners Thursday Thurs-day revoked beer licenses of D. C. James, 341 South Main atreet, and Evelyn Dickey. 437 West Broadway. Both cases were considered by commissioners last month when they revoked, for the first time under .the new beer license ordi-j nance, a" permit previously issued for use st 44 East Broadway. Alleged violations of the ordinance ordi-nance and liquor control act were cited. When first considered by the commission. James and Miss Dickey were represented by attorneys, who claimed offenses complained of by Chief of Police Harry L. Finch took place before either place was operated oper-ated under existing licenses. Because Be-cause of this, commissioners referred re-ferred the mattera back to the police po-lice department for further invest!-: gstlon. |
