Mr. Cowan still entertains the suspicion sus-picion that some of his friends rode their bicycles to. the store, let the air out their tires and came Into the store so hs could havs the doubtful pleasure of pumping air into them. A few yeara after he was graduated gradu-ated to selling fishhooks for the Browning Brothers, he organised the Western Arms and Sporting Goods company, which firm he operated op-erated until a few months ago. when it waa consolidated with Spalding Brothers. While the genial sporting goods dealer enjoys hunting ducks above al lelse, he also finds pleasure in fishing and playing golf. He Is a member of the Rotary eraB.
