Show NEW RAILROAD 1 TO ALTA CAMP Company Incorporated to Build Line to Tanner's Tan-ner's flat. - . One of the largest and moat Important Import-ant bodies to incorporate In the State of Utah recently is the Continental Transportation company. Its articles of Incorporation were filed with Secretary Sec-retary of SUte Tlngey today. The new company . will operate, maintain and control the partially constructed con-structed line of road running from Sandy to Alta. having a mileage of lstt miles. The estimated cost of completing the new road is about 5000 per mile. The capitalization is $750,000. The names of the incorporators are as follows: fol-lows: Henry M. Crowther, president. Salt Lake; Stuart 8. Janney, vice-president, Baltimore; E. M. Carroll, secretary sec-retary and treasurer, 35 Wall street. New York City, and J. H. Hurd and W. C. Hurd of Salt Lake. x ' The construction of this line of railroad, rail-road, which has been contemplated for some time, will solve to a large extent the problem of the transportation transporta-tion of ores from the camp at Alta. The road will run from the Sandy, on the Rio Grande Western, to Tanner's Flat. In Little Cottonwood canyon, where the Contlnental-Alta mine has a tramway leading to the mining camp. |
