Show WOMAN'S RIGHTS ARE RESTRICTED Suffragists Arrested for Creating Disturbance in Public Square. LONDON, June 21. Miss Billing-ton, Billing-ton, Miss Kenny and -three other leaders lead-ers of the militant woman suffragists were arrested in Cavendish square to-- to-- day for creating a disturbance outside of Chancellor of the Exchequer As-qulth As-qulth 8 house. A score of women with banners flying assembled in Cavendish squire this forenoon and announced their determination de-termination to be heard by Mr. Asquith. As-quith. They defied the police until their leaders were arrested and dragged off to the police station. The women arrested were arraigned in a police court later. Miss Blllington was fined $50 or two months' imprisonment, impris-onment, whereupon she expressed the intention of becoming a martyr and of going to JalL The hearing of the other cases was adjourned. |
