Chief Sanitary Inspector Hedrick , yesterday detailed three inspectors to make a thorough investigation of the small packing plants which heretofore have escaped the limelight by being scattered throughout, the city. The truth of the claim made by the big packers that the former really were to blame for the meat scandal will be tested. - Particular attention will be paid, it was said, to the light, air and ventilation ventila-tion of these plants, as' well as to the question, of cleanliness. ' - "The '"smaller fry" is said to have made considerable progress in cleaning clean-ing up. . . . . . - These reports, with their recommendations recom-mendations will be complete by tomorrow, to-morrow, and probably will be made public on Saturday. |
