Show PIONEEK NUESEBIES COMPANY, As year by year hitherto barren wastes are being made fertile by our magnificent systems of irrigation, the fruit industry is rapidly growing. A drive of ten miles into the country surrounding sur-rounding Salt Lake takes one into vast, heavily bearing orchards and extensive vineyards, for Utah is becoming a leading lead-ing fruit-producing State. The Pioneer nurseries were established -Just three years after Brlgham Young and his sturdy followers entered Salt Lake valley val-ley and began to build the village which has developed into Salt Lake City, the Industrial center. This company is the oldest In the Western States and has' undoubtedly done more in the introducing intro-ducing of the fruit Industry and the encouragement of the same than any other lntermountaln firm. With offices on the fifth floor of the Commercial National bank building, its directors are: Sidney Tuttle. president: George J. Foster, vice-president: M. E. Callahan, Calla-han, secretary and treasurer, and W. E. Rossney. The nurseries of the company com-pany are at Murray and cover a large tract of rich land. AH varieties of fruit and shade trees and vines are to be found here. The Pioneer nurseries were Incorporated in 1893, under the laws of the State of Utah.
