Show CHICAGO'S PLANS TO OBSERVE DAY Churches Will Hold Special Spe-cial Services; Will Be Many Public Dinners. CHICAGO. Nov. .-lf any Chlcagoan fails today to. feel the Thanksgiving spirit, it will not be because of his. lack, of . opportunity to get into touch with one or more celebrations. Churches of every denomination de-nomination are to hold special services, numerous dinners are to be given to those who are unable to provide their own turkey tur-key and the usual; accompaniments, and even in the hospitals.- asylums, homes for the aged and orphans, and th'e city and .county penal Institutions celebrations will be held. Jailer Whitman has made special spe-cial plans for. entertaining the 600 prisoners prison-ers in the county jail during the day. A noon dinner of turkey and chicken will be followed by a vaudeville entertainment. At the House of Correction there .will be no turkey, as the city cannot afford to buy the fowl for the 1500 prisoners, but the Inmates wljl be cheered with an unusually un-usually elaborate 8iuier. including several sev-eral kinds of dessert. " In the John Worthy school the 408 boys will be feasted with chicken followed by an abundance of fruit and cake. At many, of the orphan asylums and homes for the aged all rft'.es. and restrictions upon the actions of the inmates in regard to their fellows will be susoended for the day.
