CRITICAL. SITUATION WITH COAL DEALERS. Salt Lake is on the edge of a coal famine. Demand a ton of coal and the dealer sidesteps with the proffer of a few sacks "till the blockade Is broken." A canvass of the situation shows that this Is the general condition all over the State. While this is the condition today the dealers generally promise to have ample supply on hand to care for all not later than tomorrow. The continued con-tinued snow-fall, however, makes this promise rather problematic. By husbanding1 hus-banding1 their resources dealers claim to be in position to prevent actual famine. They concede the situation is rather critical.
