Show TABERNACLE TO HAVE AIR COOLING SYSTEM One of the largest non-industrial air conditioning installations in the west is planned for the Salt Lake tabernacle and will be completed com-pleted ih time for the 1947 Centennial. Centen-nial. Church officials first considered consider-ed air conditioning the historic building ten years ago and details were finally worked out this month. Air conditioning of the huge edifice will require an air flow of some 200,000 to 300,000 cubic, feet per minute, but will insure in-sure complete comfort to occupants occu-pants of the building during the hottest of summer days. . Engineers preparing to start the project declare the building to be highly interesting from an engineering standpoint and they praise the soundness of the de- ! sign. |
