Show CHURCHES ... " A Relief Society union meeting will be conducted Sunday, Sept. 22, at 2 p. m., in the Fourth ward chapel, announces Mrs. Ronald Beardall, stake president. All Relief Re-lief Society workers are urged to be present. Fifth Ward ... The sacrament meeting Sunday at 6 p. m., in the Second ward chapel, will be under direction of the Elders' quorum, with Merle Black in charge. Robert Mecham, a former missionary, ex-service man and student of the B. Y. U., Provo, will be the speaker. All members of the ward are urged to attend. M. I. A. Special Jnteest . . . Howard Salisbury will give the lesson on the Book of Mormon in the Fifth ward Special Interest class, next Monday evening, to which an invitation is extended to all members of the ward. M.I.A. begins at 7:30 p. m. Second Ward ... The Sunday evening services will be under direction of the Elders' Eld-ers' quorum and will feature as the speaker, Wayne Holley, a former for-mer missionary. There will also be musical numbers. The meeting begins at 7:30 p. m. Bishop O. H. Dalton also announces an-nounces a Youth Leadership meeting meet-ing to be held at 6:30 p. m., to which all young people of the ward are urged to attend. I Sixth Ward... Special Interest Group . . . The Special Interest Group of the Sixth ward M. I. A., has chosen chos-en an interesting subject, "The Church and Its People," for this season and the class has capable leaders to help answer any questions. ques-tions. The subject material to be taken up will assist anyone in answering an-swering the many questions asked ask-ed by visitors who visit this state. All ward members and others interested in-terested are invited to attend the classes. Mrs. Minerva Weight is supervisor; Mrs. Viola Long, president, pres-ident, and Mrs. Hilda Cherring- ton, secretary. Third Ward ... Dr. O'wen P. Henninger, superintendent super-intendent of the Utah State Mental Men-tal hospital, Provo, and a leading psychiatrist of the western states, will speak at the Sunday evening meeting in the Third ward, beginning begin-ning at 7 p. m. Elder Jay Grant will also give a short talk, and a musical program is also outlined. A large attendance of members of the ward and others interested are invited. |
