Show Johnson-Dans Wedding Event of September 14 Announcement is made this week of the marriage of Richard Johnson, son of, Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Johnson, John-son, Sr., and Miss Shirley Laurel Davis of Provo which took place on September 14, in3 the Provo First ward chapel, with Bishop Frank Gardner performing perform-ing the ceremony. The bride was attired in a white eyelet embroidery wedding gown with finger-tip veil of white net and organdy. Her bouquet was of red rosebuds and tiny gardenias. Miss Helen Davis, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Miss Barbara Hoover, and Mrs. Colin Delahunty, sister of the bridegroom, bride-groom, were bridesmaids. They ' were attired in pastel colored for-mals for-mals and carried colonial bouquets in corresponding colors. Robert Bailey was best man. After the wedding ceremony, the couple were honored with a reception featuring a nicly arranged ar-ranged program, refreshments and dancing. Verl Van Wagenen of Provo, was master of ceremonies. Mrs. Paul Miner of this city, was in charge of the serving and Mrs. Maurice Davis acted as hostess. Miss Coleen "Salisbury and Mrs. Jessie Diamond were in charge of . the gift room. -The couple left shortly after the reception on a wedding trip to San Francisco and Los Angeles, An-geles, Calif., and upon their return, re-turn, Sept 26, will make their home at 560 East Third South in Provo. |
