Show CHUKAR PARTRIDGES TO BE PLANTED THROUGHOUT STATE One hundred chukar partridges have been purchased by the Utah Fish and Game Commission for planting in isolated regions of the state, the Fish and Game Department Depart-ment reported. The birds were purchased from Claude Hooke, famous. ; upland game bird raiser at Napa, California. Califor-nia. Price paid by the state was $4.00 a bird. The birds will be kept at the Carbon county game bird farm through the winter, and in the spring the state hopes to accumulate accumu-late enough chicks "to maintain an adequate broodstock for future planting. |
