Show C. Of C. URGES OIL COMPANY TO LOCATE IN COUNTY The Springville Chamber of Commerce has communicated with the Standard Oil district manager F. C. Eastman, urging that the company consider erection of their new refining plant in Utah county. It was pointed put in the letter, that in piping the oil from Rangely, Colo, to Utah considerable consider-able work would be saved. By coming by way of Strawberry Valley through Hobble Creek, it would require pumping the oil about 8200 feet, whereas, going a route over the mountains to Salt Lake City, the oil would be pumped 9400 feet. A similar letter has also been sent to the oil official by the Provo Chamber, it was announced. |
