Show BRIDGE AND VIADUCT TO BE CONSTRUCTED OGDEN', Oct. G. That a combined bridge and viaduct will be built at the Rlverdale crossing by the state, county and Union Pacific Railroad company are tho indications reported in Ogden this afternoon after the site of the proposed work was investigated. Those in the party were Ira Browning, state road engineer; County Commissioners Commis-sioners M. P. Brown, John M. Child and D. H. Ensign; Colonel Black. G. S. Ad-amson Ad-amson and J. F. Bray ton, representing the Union Pacific, and J. S. Dew is, J. W. Wilcox and A. J. Hall of the Merchants Mer-chants of Ogden. According to the plans suggested this morning, the bridge over the Weber river will be of cement. The viaduct over the railroad tracks will be twenty-four twenty-four feet higher than the tracks. The approach to the bridge and the viaduct will be dirt, with concrete retaining walls. The cost, of the bridge and viaduct via-duct is estimated at $100,000. |
