EARLEY IS ASSICNEHIG TASK Former Railroad Man to Take Charge of Work in Adjutant General's Office. With the title of captain in the Quartermaster Quar-termaster corps. John S. Earley, traveling travel-ing passenger agent of the Salt Lake Route since that railroad was built, was yesterday appointed to take charge of the Utah adjutant-general's office In the state capltol. The appointment was made by Acting Adjutant-General H. M. H. Lund and was confirmed by Governor Simon Bamberger. Captain Earlev is well known among railroad officials in Salt Lake and on the Pacific coast, as well as to citizens generally gen-erally here. He succeeds In his new position po-sition Captain A. J. Mechln, who is now stationed at Newport News. N. J., as captain in the national army. . |
