Show MANGANESE LEASE BRINGS $70,000 Seventy thousand dollars is the price paid by Thomas Thorkildsen, who recently re-cently purchased the lease of the Manganese Man-ganese association for $100,000. for the two-thirds Interest In the 'title to the same property, held by B. R. Jefferson and J. F. Marrs. Of the purchase price. $20,000 was paid in cash, betner $10,000 to each of the vendors, the balance of $50,000 to be paid in installments. R. E. Edwards, owner of the other third interest in the property, did not accept the offer of Mr. Thorkildsen, preferring pre-ferring to receive his share in the shape of royalties payable under the conditions of the original lease. The University of Nevada has published pub-lished a treatise from the pen of Walter S. Palmer, professor of metallurgy of the Mackay School of Mines, upon the subject sub-ject of manganese. The bulletin is issued for the purpose of stimulating prospecting and develop-. develop-. merit of possible sources of manganese In Nevada.
