Show DELIVERIES OF ICE : TO flEJESTRICTED W. F. Jensen Gives Out Rules to Become Operative Opera-tive on May 15. A comprehensive scheme of routing and a unified plan of delivery for ice dealers will become effective Ui Salt Lake May 15. Thla announcement was made by W. F. Jensen, coin missioner of com mercial economy for Utah, following meeting with all Salt Lake Ice dealers yesterday. The regulations provide an every other day service in the residence districts and a daily service in the business section. Under the new system practically as efficient ef-ficient service as at present will be given, while approximately $50,000 will be saved In co.stH of de-livery, it is claimed. Twenty-two teams and trucks and more than thirty men will be eliminated. The same regulations will become operative at Ogr-(len Ogr-(len also. ""The now system will improve the service by increasing stability and regularity, regu-larity, and will eliminate much waste which has arisen through competition," Mr. Jensen said. The regulations are: 1. For the purpose of this regulation regula-tion Salt Lake City is divided into two general sections or districts. The "business' district will comprise that territory within the boundary limits of South Temple to Fourth South Rtreets and from West Temple to Second East streets, both sides of the boundary streets Included. The outside section will comprise all territory within the corporate limits of Salt Iake City outside of the business section. 2. No wagon or truck shall go over the same route or to the same customer cus-tomer more than once daily in the business district of the city. 3. No wagon or truck shall go over the same route or to the same customer cus-tomer more than every other day in the outside district of the city. 4. tWagons or trucks may leave the Ice storage warehouse or manufacturing manufactur-ing plant as many times daily as necessary nec-essary if loaded or if going over a different route. 5. Special trips for the delivery of ice may be made, but a minimum charge of 50 cents for this trip must be paid by the customer. 6. Ice may be delivered to customers cus-tomers by special delivery in case of sickness without a special charge and whenever needed. 7. Hotels, restaurants, depots and hospitals are to be considered as Included In-cluded in the business section and entitled to daily service If necessary. 8. Customers should be notified that this Is a war measure intended to conserve manpower, eliminate waste and aid in the reduction of the cost of living, and customers should be requested to arrange their household affairs to conform to these regulations. regula-tions. 9.
