Show SUNSET MINE IS YIEKlfl ORE At the general offices of the Sunset Mining company, which is operating out of Leadore, Idaho, announcement was made yesterday to the effect that the company was now handling a considerable considera-ble tonnage of ore on its own account, the leasing system having been abolished for the present at least. The statement was made that since October 25 two cars of high-grade ore had been shipped and a third was now being loaded. Estimated values, said to be conservative, gave returns re-turns of 20 per cent lead and 10 ounces silver per ton. The management further declared that the ore showing was big on three different differ-ent levels of the mine, the third, fourth and fifth levels being reported as coming into high-grade values on the footwall. whereas in previous developments the major portion of the shipping ore has been taken from the hanging wall side. The Sunset mine has heretofore been regarded by numerous experts as an attractive at-tractive low-gTade proposition; but the management expresses the conviction that the record of the next few months will suffice to prove the worth of the mine as a profitable producer of shipping ore. r- - |
