GERMANS CLAIM VICTORY ON FRONT OF ELEVEN MILES BERLIN, via London, Oct. 30. The German official report issued tonight say 3; "Aong the Oise canal violent enemy attacks at-tacks broke down in the early hours of the morning. "After strong artillery preparation, the French resumed their attacks between Nizy-le-Gomte and the Aisne, bringing numerous tanks into action. The troops of General von Eberhardt von Below completely beat back the enemy on the eleven-mile attacking front. "Parts of our position northwest of Herpy, which were temporarily lost, were recaptured by a counter-attack. In the evening violent attacks by the general gen-eral broke down everywhere. "The French suffered heavy losses yesterday yes-terday and a great many tanks were destroyed, de-stroyed, s "On both sides of Vouziers and east of the Aisne there wus intermittent artillery fire. "We shot down twenty-seven enemy airplanes yesterday."
