Show BRITISH TENTH ARMY CAPTURES MANY PRISONERS LONDON, Oct. 30. British troops In their offensive on the northern Italian front have at some places crossed the Monticano river, the British war office announced this evening. The Tenth-army has reached approximately approxi-mately Roucadello. Ormclle, Fontalnelle and the line of the River Monticano to : Ramara. The British Tenth army has made 11,-000 11,-000 of the enemy prisoner. The text of the communication follows fol-lows : "The Tenth army has reached approximately approxi-mately Roucadelle, Ornel!e, Fontalnelle and the line of the River Monticano to Ramara. At some places we have crossed the Monticano. "The prisoners taken, by the Tenth army since the commencement of the operation op-eration amount to 11.002, including 345 officers. Of these, the fourteenth British Brit-ish corps captured 2-16 officers and 5030 men of other ranks. A number of guns and the material captured have not been enumerated. The MontelJo group of armies has made a significant advance and taken many of the enemy prisoner. "Our airplanes were engaged all the afternoon against hostile columns In dense masses retreating down the Coneg-liano-'aclle and Conegllano-Vlttorlo roads." |
