Show SUSPEND WORK ON WAR REVENUE BILL WASHINGTON, Oct. 30. Revision of the war revenue bill, under plans made today by the senate finance commUtee, will be suspended Friday over the elections. elec-tions. The committee plans to report the bill to the senate about November 12. Among the questions left over are gross sales and consumption taxes. The new plan of taxing Insurance companies com-panies 12 per cent of net revenues, lit lieu of war excess, capital stock and premium taxes, was formally approved today. A proposal to alldw the refunds of premium taxes accumulating this year was rejected. re-jected. The committee struck out the business license tax of $10 on all persons engaged en-gaged in trades, business, or profession, whose gross earnings or receipts arc $20o. This provision of the house bill, estimated to raise $10,000,000.
