Show imc SflH SHAFTALL il ORE Values Extend From 1300-foot 1300-foot Level for 135 Feet and Continue. According to information released yesterday yes-terday by Captain E. J. Raddatz. presi- dent and general manager of the Tintic Standard Mining company, the continuation continua-tion of the main working shaft is revealing reveal-ing a persistence of the ore bodies that cannot but prove gratifying to all directly . concerned. The further extension of the shaft was begun at an actual depth of 1265 feet, generally designated as the 1300-foot level. An aditional depth of a little bet- ter than 135 feet has now been attained, and, according to telephonic reports reaching Manager Raddatz yesterday, ore of ntilling or shipping value has been encountered en-countered every foot of the way down. A considerable body of good shipping ore was caught at about the 1350-foot level. The sinking will be steadily continued, but It is planned to cut a station at the present level, so that exploratory work may not be delayed in case it is deemed advisable. The ore so far encountered is similar to that which is being mined above, with the values in lead, silver aiid copper. Manager Raddatz said that the setting tji of the boiler for the new heating plant was now in progress; that all -the ditches for the pipe lines had ben completed, and that in less than thirty days, and probably by the middle of November, the plant would be in regular operation. Sllke other properties in the Tintic and other Utah mining districts, the Tintic Standard has suffered in some degree by the shortage of labor, but, aside from this li handicap, things arc moving smoothly. |
