Show INVENTORY OF FOOD IN COUNTY FINISHED Survey Locally Is Made to Assist the Federal Compilation of the State's Besources. ! Mark H. Greene of the Utah Agricultural Agricul-tural college and bureau of markets has completed a tood survey embracing ail the retail stores In Utah county. Mr. Greene's survey is said to be the most comprehensive ever undertaken and accomplished ac-complished in any locality in this state. Mr Greene reports that some stocks show a decrease, while others are increased, in-creased, principally on account of anticipated an-ticipated increases in wholesale prices. On the whole the quantity of foods is very-similar very-similar to that, of last year, he says. The federal government is taking throughout the nation the most complete and accurate inventory' of foods ever attempted at-tempted before in the country, the object being to ascertain the lines In wnich there ia a deficiency of foods, so as to encourage en-courage production. To see just where there is a. surplus, so as to equalize the supply both nationally nation-ally and internationally all dealers in foods In Utah who have not reported then-present then-present supplv of foods should obtain at once a war emergency food schedule from Mr. Greene, field agent marketing, U. A. C, Logan. Utah, or B. W. Y"hitlock. bureau bu-reau of markets, Ness building, Salt Lake-City, Lake-City, as all schedules are to be in tile mails by January 10, 1317. |
