Show mm raiE bill IT Lie TO PISS: Democratic Leaders in Both Houses Against Changing the Present Law. By International News Service. WASHINGTON, Jan. 6. The new revenue reve-nue bill just introduced by Senator Smoot of Utah will have hard sledding, it was indicated today. Senator Simmons, chairman chair-man of the senate finance committee, said : "The present bill is founded on well recognized rec-ognized principles and there will be much debate before it is altered. The first steps concerning the legislation must be taken in the house. At the last session the sen-ale sen-ale finance, committee and the house ways and means committee agreed that the principle thfft financial legislature- originates origi-nates in the house of representatives must be recognized." Both these things Senator Smoot proposes to do in his new bill.
