Members of the Weber county farm bureau made im-: im-: portant progress today in preparation' for the farmers' annual round-up and i housekeepers' conference to .be held in ! this city January 22 to 27, inclusive, ! when they approved a tentative programme pro-gramme for the genera sessions and departmental work. Under the direction direc-tion of Miss Gertrude McCheyne, home demonstrator in the extension department depart-ment of the Utah Agricultural coQege, a tentative programme was also outlined out-lined for the women's division of the annual conference. Both programmes were drafted in tentative form by the extension department depart-ment of the agricultural college and most of the speakers will be furnished by that institution. Some of those from points outside of the state are Mrs. Harriett L. B. Darling of Boston, Mass., an authority on home economics; Dean Iddings of Idaho, who will take part in the livestock departmental work, and a representative of the na-y tional organization of dentists. Governor Gov-ernor Simon Bamberger will also address ad-dress the farmers on farm bureau work, i Arrangements were npt completed to-; day for places in which to hold the round-up meetings, but it is probable that the Ogden tabernacle and Third ward buildings will be used. The Ogden Og-den round-up, which is one week of the Logan round-up transferred to this city, is expected to attract the attention of all farmers in Weber county as W'ell as those of many surrounding counties.
