Show MANY CARS GIVEN AS XMAS PRESENTS Alkire-Smith Company Hold Machines for Delivery on Christmas This Year. "With plenty of the new model Ford cars on hand, the Alkire-Smith company, local agents for the Ford, have been kept busy during the Christmaa season supplying the heavy demand for the new type. ''It is surprising how many persons purchased cars during the past week to be delivered on Christmas day as presents," pres-ents," said G. O. Goodwin, sales manager, man-ager, yesterday. "A few years ago it would have been nearly out of the ques- j1 tion to suggest a motor car as a holiday gift; however, now it is rather a common com-mon thing. "Here aro a few cars sold during the week: Two town cars went to John ilimpson, Jr.; a sedan to the Fritsch Loan & Trust company; TV. F. Culmer purchased a coupelet, and touring cars were sold to the Utah Iron & Steel company, com-pany, S. A. ('assail and the Troy laundry, laun-dry, while a delivery car went to Mehr Brothers dairy. |
