Show RETURNED SOLDIERS WILL WEAR BADGES Special Cable to The Tribune. PARIS, Aug. 7. A distinctive sign, ribbon rib-bon or arm badge is demanded for soldiers sol-diers who have accomplished their duty, been incapacitated by wounds or other disability, and returned to civil life. In many cases their disability is not apparent appar-ent and in civilian attire they are subjected sub-jected to disagreeable incidents. Some propose tor these victims of false appearance a "1915 medal;" not the "war t crosy, " reserved for exceptional exploits, but a simple distinctive mark that will make known to everyone that they have done their duty. The proposition has been complicated by a demand that it be given to every niun t hat was mobilised, while the originators of the idea want it to be reserved for those returning from service at the fronL |
