The object of the proposed bureau, as outlined at the first genera meeting one week ago, is to advance every phase of the agricultural, horticultural horti-cultural and livestock industries of the county. Problems that confront the men engaged in these industries will be takc-Ti up by the district organization organiza-tion and referred to the central body, farm demonstrator or agricultural col-lego col-lego professors. The plan of action, as discussed by the committee members today, is similar sim-ilar to that of a political organization. The farmers, fruit growers and stockmen stock-men of each precinct or district of the county will be expected to meet and organize, then select by popular choice those who are to represent them in t lie central bureau. The farm demons! ra-: ra-: tor will be a member of the central or-I or-I gnnization and has promised to give every assistance in his power to f nr-; nr-; ther the best interests of the proposed bureau. The committee has three weeks in which to make its report at another general meeting of the farmers and others interested. Another committee meeting will be held next Saturday as today, in the office of J. L. Robson, county assessor, in the county building. |
