Gazers at the bulletins and passers by generally wondered as to the ; ; reason for that balcony It looked something like a fire-escape balcony Some were Inclined to the belief that It was for that purpose Others noting : ; the scoreboard had, been hung on the outer railing of the new balcony argued ! that it was to facilitate the labors of tho youth who totes the numbers All were wrong Here Is the real reason for that Iron balcony which. went Into place yesterday The Tribune la Installing the finest and most elaborate baseball scoreboard score-board ever seen west of the Rocky mountains A contract has been closed ! with H. Detrlck; of Chicago patentee and manufacturer of the device and he he is here now to direct the installation. It Is hoped to have all the mech anlsm and effects In place by Tuesday afternoon.
