LONDON' Aug 7 The new German offensive m the west gathering force at two vital extremes of the battle front made itself intensely evident today when the Germans forced the Belgians across the lser to the south of Dix mude and the crown prinoe s army aga n assailed the French key posit on on the Argonne front. In this latter action directed against hill 213 the forces under command of the kaiser s son followed through after an intense cannonade with heavy guns and the explos on of two mines direct ly under the parapets of the French advanced trenches on the elopes of the hill.
