Show 1 IN POLICE COURT In the opinion of Judge Bowman, selling sell-ing "booze on Sunday when the city ordinances or-dinances say It is unlawful, is a rather serious offense and accordingly Mrs. May Marriott, who conducts tho Ohio rooming house, was fined 5100 in police court Monday afternoon. Mrs. Marriott was arrested Sunday afternoon by Patrolmen Eghert and Patterson and charged with conducting a. "blind pig" at her house. She was found guilty, notwithstanding tho fact that she plead ignorance of tho law. The cases against S T. "Vickcry and John Bear, also charged with selling liquor on Sunday, went over until Tuesday. Tues-day. Both defendants look twenty-four hours to enter their pleas. John Yun and Kce Lee. who were arrested ar-rested Saturday night by Patrolman Griffiths on tho charge of fighting, were found guilty and sentenced to pay a fine of Su each. L. M. Salhnath was arrested Saturday by Patrolman Griffiths and charged with violating the street ordinance. lie entered en-tered at pica of guilty and was fined $5 by Judge Bowman. The, case of Gus Coppuccio. also charged with violation of the Sunday closing ordinance, will be hoard before Judge Bowman Tuesday afternoon. Robert Rob-ert Thompson, charged with petit larceny, lar-ceny, was sentenced to thirty days In tho city Jail. The trial of John Llttlcfield was continued con-tinued before Judge Bowman. Monday afternoon, and several witnesses were examined, ex-amined, including Jim Francis, an ox-puglllst. ox-puglllst. Owing to the conflicting testimony testi-mony given by the several witnesses the cose was taken under advisement by Judge Bowman until Tuesday.
