Mrs. Electa Bullock, Bul-lock, one of the pioneers and well-known well-known throughout the state, died this morning at 7 o'clock at her .home on West Center street from general debility Mrs. Bullock was a woman of great ability and kindly nature which endeared her to all who ever met her. She was born In Florence. Huron county. Ohio, July 15. 1S34. and with her parent?. Mr. and Mrs. Gideon D anil Hannah Dally Wood, moved to Far West. Mo., in lK3h. From there thoy went to Nauvoo In 1S-15 and In IMS started across the plains, arriving in Salt. Lake September 24, 1S4R. The family resided In Salt Lake until 1554, when they moved to Sprlngvllle, Sprlng-vllle, this county. While In Salt Lake Mrs. Bullofk took an nctlvo part In promoting pro-moting the drama in Utah. She was in the cast of the flrt performance given In tin: old Social hall. In 1S5G alio was married to Isaac Bullock and since that time she lind lived In Provo. In 1S01 Mrs. Bullock was elected president of the Woman Suffrage Association of Utah County and continued In that position until a few vcurs ago. She wns elected a delegate from Utah to the National Women Suffrage cong.-css held at Washington, Wash-ington, D. C in 1891. In lS03shc was willed by the committee In charge of tho Utah exhibit at the World's fair to net as ono of tho five ladv managers. She went to Chicago In Mny and remained re-mained there until the close of the fair. Mrs. Bullock Is survived by one daughter. daugh-ter. Mrs. Hannah Tucker of this city, and one son. Isaac Bullock of Lone Tree. Wvo.; fifteen grandchild rcn and eleven great grandchildren. The time of the funeral has not been fixed. |
