Tho big plants at Bingham have found, after careful consideration of tho merits of the two systems that the best results were obtained from tho Chilean svstem. and tests at the Miami mill havo borne out their opinion. In planning the Miami mill tho relative rela-tive merits of tho two systems wcro carefully considered and it was decided to adhere to the practice of other works treating finely disseminated ore and Install In-stall Chile mills in two sections, uut-tlng uut-tlng rolls in a third section as an experiment. ex-periment. This was done and the tests made, according to the Engineering and Mining Journal, are regarded as conclusive. con-clusive. The result Is unfavorable to the rolls and they are to be discarded. When the building of the nlant was considered there was much discussion concerning the rolls and the results- of the tests aro nulte different from what their advocates expected, They were mechanically me-chanically satisfactory and did what was expected of them theoretically, but In this case It proved that granularity of product was not desirable.
