Show iNITTI WEEDS BUTHLOPiEI Camp Is Now Producing More Ore Than Mill Can Deal With. Zeb Kendall, formerly of Sprlngville, Utah, but for several years in Nevada, has. been operating a lease on tho Jumping Jump-ing Jack In Manhattan In that state. He was in Tonopah a few days ago with a fine bunch of ore and had much to say regarding tho camp of Manhattan. Among other things ho said that the camp was doing better In a business way. "Ore production." he said, "is also growing grow-ing larger. Just now tho War Eagle mill has contracts for four months ahead on ore that Is already mined and on the dump, and they are extracting ore much faster than tho mill can handle It. "Several new leases with ore In sight have started, but as yet they are not equipped to take It out. There is no question ques-tion but what the camp will produce enough to Induce tho necessary capital to come in to develop It, and. In my opinion, that Is all tho camp naeds to make big mines there. "The placer portion of tho camp is producing pro-ducing nicely, and I should Judge close to 100 men are working in these grounds and all making wages and belter. It Is rath-; er a closo proposition, but payB on tho crude system that they hav to work with. It will be a long time before they will have the placer dirt all washed in Manhattan." |
