Show SERVICE ON NUNN HELD SUFFICIENT No Man Has Right to Bar Officer From His Stateroom, Is Billing l of Court. Special to The Tribune. DENVER, Colo., Aug. 15. In overruling overrul-ing the motion to quash service of summons sum-mons in the case of L. L. Nunn today in the United Stales district court. Judge Lewis declared that no man who can pay for a Pullman stateroom has the right to shut an officer of the law out of It. Nunn, manager of tho Tellurlde Power company, first tried to evade service of summons ln the suit of Frederick Stelg-moyer, Stelg-moyer, while on a Union Pacific train. Dopuly United States Marshal Clark finally Induced tho Pullman porter to push open the door of Nunn's stateroom, which was barricaded, far onough to shove the summons Inside while the train was In Colorado. Judge Lewis held that service was sufficient. |
