Contagion and infection for tho week Just ended show a remarkable falling off in tho weekly report of tho city board of health submitted Saturoay. Thero were only twelve cases of contagion con-tagion and infection reported for the past week and of these five were of typhoid fevor contracted outside of the city but brought lo hospitals here for treatment. This reduces tho number of cases of contagion con-tagion and Infection for tho week just ended to only seven, distributed as follows: fol-lows: Scarlet fever, four; measles, one; chickenpox, ono: other contagion, ono. Twenty-six houses remain In qunran-llno qunran-llno on account of scarlet fever and three on account of other contagion. The Isolation hospital still is closed. Births outnunTbercd deaths almost two to one. There wore forty-three births, of which twenty-ono wcro boys and twenty-two twenty-two girls, as against only twenty-three deaths, of which seventeen were males and six females. Five bodies were brought here for burial. |
