The company wants to doublo-track Its lino between Fifth North street and the northern boundary of tho city, tho complaint says; also in tho electrification of tlie road more room Is ncedod for tho poles that will carry tho transmission power. Tho company seeks to condomn a strip about fifteen feet wide, containing contain-ing .11 acres on the oaBt sldo of tho present track, and a strip .containing .167 acres on the west side. Some of tho poleB for tho transmission wires already are up on tho mill and elevator ele-vator company's grounds, tho complaint says, but tho mill and elovator concern threatens to take thorn down, and the railway company asks for a temporary restraining order to keep tho threat from being carried out. Efforts were made, it Is alleged, to purchase tho ground before the poles were put up, but tho mill and elevator company refused to talk business. |
