The will of General George Washington, which is preserved in the clerk's office at Fairfax, Vii., and which is looked on here as a treasure of the most sacred value, will be photographed. It is in ins own wording word-ing and was written In 17D9, tho year of his death. An order has been issuec oy Judge J. B. Thornton permitting tho librarian of congress to photograph the will. The court's order requires flint only four copies of tho photograph aro to be made. Two are to be placed In the library of congress and two are to be delivered to the county clerk of Fairfax county to be kopt In his office. No duplicates of "any kind arc to be made of the photograph at any time. |
