Lucas, but recently released from the state penitentiary after serving a term of imprisonment on the chargo of hur- Slary. is in the county jail awaiting 10 action of the district court, when he will be placed on trial for two other alleged burglaries. Ho appeared before Judge Murphy of the police court Tuesday' morning and was given a preliminary hearing in regard re-gard to his connection with attempting to break into the T. B. Evans grocery on Washington avenue and another attempted at-tempted robbery of a storo the same night. After hearing the testimony of Sergeant Ser-geant Tout, Watchman Pincock and former Patrolman Morrissev, the court hold that a probable case had been made out and ordered Lucas held under $500 bond. |
