I wish to assert that the church has obeyed the law of the land, and that it has kept Its pledges with this Government: Govern-ment: but I have not, as an individual, and I have taken that chance myself. Tanner, member of tho Sunda3' school governing board while committing all grades of sin under the polygamous law; Henry S. Tanner, member of the seventies sev-enties whilo breaking the law and the manifesto. All of these men havo been law breakers break-ers and pledge-breakers since 1S90, the year in -which tho Woodruff manifesto, inhibiting pob'gany and polygamous living, was promulgated b.y the Mormon church. Wero these men Mormons? If so, did not the Deseret News purposejy falsify' when it said that there had "been no pledge-breaking on the part of Mormons 7" |
