Miller, who has been Inducing the trusting teachers of Vermillion to part with their- hnrd-earned coin without producing any books after a reasonablo time. With him he carries a nice lottcr of introduction from Superintendent Superin-tendent Nelson, which tho latter says nivst be forged, as he has never seen tho man to his knowledge. He has heard of him before, howovor. operating on tho credulous pedagogues of Sevlor. Tho only strange thing about this graft Is that somo one did not think about It before. Sevier teachers may consider this In tho light of a lesson, though a scvero ono. |
