Show DEATH OF R. 0. LEGG. Prominent alining- Man of Utah Dies in California. II. G. Legg, a well-known mining man of thla State, who went to southern California Cali-fornia for his health last November, died In Los Angeles yesterday. That Is the word that was received by his son in this city. The remains were being brought to this city for interment. Mr. Legg was active In mines In Utah for about thirty years, coming here from tho mines of Colorado. Ho was superintendent superin-tendent of the Lead mine at Bingham, and latr superintendent of -the Uncle Sam. Ills work In thode and In other mines where he held foremost positions was almost of tho highest and best character, char-acter, and, besides, he was a popular, lovable gentleman. Ills loss will be deeply felt and he will be widely mourned. Mr. Legg was born in Capetown, Africa, October 12, 1S52. He came to America In 1SO0. ' Ho settled In Colorado September 21, 1ES0; he married Mary A. Wray. Four children survive him; throe soiis -and a daughter. They are: Ida" May, Charles, Raymond and Harry Legg. Mrs. Legg left Monrovia, Cal , last evening even-ing with the body. The funeral will bo I conducted under the auspices of the Masons. |
