The track Is therefore now continuous, but of course It has not, In the newest parts, been leveled, smoothed, and ballasted. To do this finishing work will take time, though It may be taken for granted that It will be speeded, and the track put in condition con-dition for recular use at tho earliest possible time. So nt last we have the much-longed-for southern connection with tho Coast That It will have a most Important Influence In-fluence in Increasing tho trade and Importance Im-portance of this city is as sure as that ease and speed of communication foster business. That it will have a controlling control-ling effect in developing the country between be-tween this city and Los Angeles Is apparent ap-parent from the busy Industry that already al-ready marks all that region, In pleasant pleas-ant contrast to tho lethargy which has ruled there from the beginning. That It will afford wonderful conveniences for shippers at Los Angeles ami all the nouthorn California region to roach the Interior that they have hoped and longed for, la apparent. In every way, the advantage of this new road will make Itself felt, and In none moro than In tho opening of new mining regions along the line, and In affording easy connections with the great camps of Tonopah, Coldflold, and Bullfrog. Everybody can Join In hearty acclaim of the new road from here to Los Angeles An-geles and San Pedro. |
