Show NOTICE OF SALE OF SONDS BY SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH. To whom It may concern, notlco Is hereby riven that Whereas, nt an election dulr held In Salt Lake City. Utah, on the 3rd day of January-1005, January-1005, upon the proposition of said city Incurring Incur-ring bonded Indebtedness to Increase Jts water wa-ter supply, and alto upon the proposition of said city Incurring bonded Indebtedness to establish a sower systom In the southern nnd western portions of said city, a majority of tho quallflod electors of Raid city voting at snld election voted In favor of Incurring said bonded Indebtedness on both propositions so submitted to them and thereby authorized said Salt Lake City to Incur a bonded Indebtedness In-debtedness In tho sum of eight hundred and fifty thousand (fWO 000) dollars to Increase and Improve tho water supply of said city, and also a bonded Indebtedness In tho cum of ono hundred and fifty thousand (J1M.O00) dollars to establish a sower systom In the southern and western portions of said city; and Whereas, on the 23rd day of January, 1905. tho City Council of Salt Lake City passed a resolution duly approved by tho Mayor of paid city, authorizing and directing tho Mayor nnd Recorder of said Salt Lake City to ad-vcrtlpo ad-vcrtlpo for bids for said bonds, . Now therefore, notice Is hereby given that Salt Lake City proposes to Ir-sue and cell bonds of tho facn valuo of eight hundred and fifty thousand (KiO.000) dollars to Increase and Improve tho water Hupply of said city, and bomlB of the fnc value of one hundred and fifty thousand ($150,000) dollars to establish estab-lish a sower system In the wuthorn nnd western west-ern portions ot said city, nnd that bids there- fnr nre nnked. Said bonds hall bear Interest at a rnto not to exceed fo'ur (I) por cent per nnnum, which Interest shal be payable semi-annually; raid bonds hnll becomo due nnd payable pay-able nt tho end of twenty (20) yor.ru from the dalo of Issue, with the option reserved to tho city to pay or rotund tho same at any time after the xplratlon of ten (10) years after the date of iRtue, and shall bo of such denomination or denominations ns tho City Council may hereafter determine, and tho net rovonue from said water aystem shall ly set apart for and shall bo a slnklnc fund for tho payment of said bondn and Interest thereon. And Whereas, It Is not deemed expedient to 1s-suo 1s-suo nil of ci Id bonds nnd pay uscloss Interest Inter-est thereon during the tlmo tha funds thcro-for thcro-for nro lying Idle, bids are. required to bo made upon Eald bonds to be purchased and paid for In tho following manner: WATER BONDS. Two hundred thousand ($200,000) dollars thereof on April 1, 1005; Two hundred thousand ($200,003) dollarn thereof on July 1. It05; Two hundred, thousand ($200,000) dollars thereof on October 1, 1905; And tho ronmlnlng two hundred and fifty thousand ($2M,000) dollars on December 1, IMS, SEWER BONDS. Fifty thousand ($50,000) dollars thereof on April 1, 1&05. Klfty thousand ($50,000) dollars thereof on July 1, 1&0S, Fifty thousand ($0,000) dollars theroof on October 1, 1905. Each and ovcry bid upon snld bonds shall bo accompanied by a duly certified check or draft In tho sum of ten thousand ($10,000) dollars, dol-lars, payablo to tho Treasurer of Salt Lako City, as a guarantoo of tcood faith on tho part of the bidder, and to reimburse, eald city for Its loss nnd e.xyensi.'
