Show SALT LAKE WOMAN WEDS. Mrs. Eleanor C. Campbell Becomes Wife of Former Hotel Bellboy. Special to Tho Tribune. RIVERSIDE, Cal., Jan. 31 Eleanor C. Campbell, widow of the late Utah millionaire mil-lionaire mine-owner, Allen G, Campbell, was married today to Frank C. O'Kclley. Mrs. Campbell Is -10, O'Kclley IS. He was formerly a bellboy at tho. Hotel Glen-wood Glen-wood and, being allontlvo to business, active, honest and capable, at length became be-came prlvato secretary to tho proprietor, proprie-tor, Frank A. Miller, and was entrusted with tho care of large corporate Interests which Miller has- in his keeping. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Campbell has taken much Interest ln Christian Science, lending financial support sup-port to tho cult and acting sometimes as a "healer." Last summer O'Kclley fell 111 of nervous ner-vous prostration and went to Mrs. Campbell Camp-bell for treatment. He obtnlncd relief from his nervous troubles, but becamo stricken with a desperate and hopeless affection of the heart. He proposed to tho widow and was rejected. ln despair, he went to the lumber camps of Calgary, seeking to forget hid troubles trou-bles amid the rigors of Manitoba, He wrote to Mrs. Campbell, fervently pouring pour-ing out his love, was finally invited to return to Riverside, nnd was accepted. The wedding took place today, amid elaborato decorations of llowers. Llllles were ordered by telegraph from Bermuda at great cost. O'Kclloy Is a man of good character and fair ability. Mrs. Campbell Is much esteemed In Riverside and has a wide circlo of friends. Sho hao a beautiful home amid orange treos. to which she will take her new husband. Mrs. O'Kclley will be well remembered bv many old friends In Salt Lake, not only as Mrs. Campbell, but as Mrs. Young, a former society editor of Tho Tribune, ln which work she made many friends, and has tho distinction of being the originator orig-inator of social, club and women's departments de-partments in Salt Lake newspapers. She left The Tribune to becomo tho bride of Allen G. Campbell, a wealthy and highly reopcctetl mining man of thl3 city, and following his death, some years ago, she has resided on her farm near Riverside, Cal. Thoso who know her best will bo tho first to offer their good wishes for her future prosperity and happiness Mm. O'Kclley was formerly Miss Eleanor Elean-or Crouch and camo from tho southern part of tho State. |
