Show Farmington Youths Follow Pioneer Trek There were 150 youth of the Farmington Stake LDS Church on a special Pioneer Trek from July 24-28. Adult leaders, Darlene Thompson and Brent Tennant assisted with the plans and joined the group for this event. There were several adult leaders from BYU who joined the group in Heber Valley, from where the trek began. THE YOUGH drove to Heber He-ber valley and began their march at that point, they had built handcarts to represent those pulled by the pioneers as they crossed the plains. This was a 24 mile trek for the young people. The group organized as families and walkyf each day and made camp at night. They made a circle of the carts each evening and at bedtime slipped into sleeping bags. At the close of the day's march there were various activities, planned for recreation and fun by the youth of each ward.
