Ray Sumsion of Bountiful, has been called to serve in the England Eng-land London East Mission. He will enter the Mission Training Center on August 28. KKVIN IS an honor graduate gradu-ate of Bountiful High School. He w as a member of the National Na-tional Honor Society, served on the Seminary council and w as Senior Prom King. He has completed a year at B YU on an academic scholarship. I KLUER TTNGEY Elder Brett G. Tingey has been called to serve in the Japan Nagaya Mission. He is the son of Gary and Ruth Tingey. A FAREWELL testimonial was held on July 27 in the Cen-terville Cen-terville Sixth Ward. An open house was held after the meeting meet-ing at the Tingey home. Brett graduated from View-rnong View-rnong in 1979 and has attended Utah Tech for the past year. I le earned his Eagle Scout plus Two Palms. ' -j ELDER SNOW Elder David Ray Snow, son of Claude and Coleen Snow has been called to serve in the Spain Barcelona Mission and will enter the Mission Training Center on Aug. 14.. ELDER RIDDLE Elder Kevin Riddle will return re-turn to his home in Bountiful on Friday, Aug. 8 after completing com-pleting two years in the Rochester New York Mission. Butt, son of Jerry and Joan Butt, has accepted a call to serve in the Canada Halifax Mission. He will enter the Mission Training Center on August 20. HIS FAREWELL will be held August 10 at 5:15 p.m. in the Bountiful 41st Ward Chapel, 164 S. 1000 E. Friends and relatives are invited to an open house at the Butt home, 29 S. 1250 E., after the farewell. Kevin graduated from Bountiful High in 1979 and has been working at "A&Z" Produce Pro-duce Co. While in school, Kevin lettered in soccer and wrestling. J i ELDER SMITH Elder Bob Smith, son of Ted and Wilma Smith, has accepted an LDS mission call to serve in the Montreal Canadian Cana-dian Mission. His farevv ell will be held August 10 at 10: 15 a.m. in the Bountiful 18th Ward Chapel at 165 South 1000 East. THERE WILL be an open house following the farewell meeting at his home at 95 South 800 East. He will enter . the Mission Training Centeron Aug. 14. Elder Smith graduated w ith honors from Bountifl High School in 1979. While attending attend-ing high school he w as active in music and athletics. He received re-ceived his letter in football and tennis, and recognition as a percussionist with the high school symphonic band and jazz ensemble. BOB HAS continued his music interest during the past year while attending the U. of U. on a band scholarship. He received a special plaque at the end of the year in recognition of outstanding performance fithe the University Percussion Percus-sion Ensemble. During the early part of this summer he toured Spain and Italy with The New Day music and dance group under the sponsorhsip of the U. of U., LDS Institute. He has also continued his athletic interests in tennis, and has won a number num-ber of awards in city, county and state tournaments. BOB HAS also taken an active ac-tive part in church and scout activities, having won his Eagle Scout award and served in leadership positions in his priesthood quorum. V J s f A ELDER BUSK Elder David John Busk, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Busk of Bountiful, has been called to serve as a missionary in the South Carolina Columbia Mission. Mis-sion. He will leave August 7, 1980. DAVID IS a graduate of Bountiful High School and has attended Ricks College for the past year. .' 7 : S i ELDER HAWKES Elder Clay V. Hawkes returned re-turned from the Michigan Lansing Mission on Aug. 2. HIS MISSION report w ill be given on Sunday. Aug. 10 at the Bountiful 47th Ward, 455 South 1200 East at '3:20 p.m. |
