Show Drive For Blind Underway BOUNTIFUL A telephone tele-phone drive is underway in south Davis County for donations dona-tions to the Utah Chapter, National Na-tional Federation of the Blind. ROBERT BELDER, state coordinator for the Utah Chapter, Chap-ter, said the telephone solicitation solicita-tion will continue until about mid-May. Contributors will receive tickets to the Children's Film Festival movie, '"Charlotte's Webb," to be presented July 19 at 9 a.m. and 1 1 a.m. at the Sand Castle Theatre, 1645 South 500 West, Bountiful. "CONTRIBUTORS not wishing to attend the movie but want to donate to the Blind Association should return their tickets to the State Headquarters, Head-quarters, 87 W. 400 N., Bountiful, Boun-tiful, and the tickets will be given to underprivileged children chil-dren of the area," said Mr. Belder. He said staffs of six to eight persons are calling businesses in the south Davis County area between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and others are making evening calls, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to residences asking for contributions. "WE WANT the residents of the area to know that this drive is going on now and will continue for about another month, or until all homes and businesses have been contacted," con-tacted," said Mr. Belder. He noted that persons wanting want-ing more information or want to pledge to the county drive for the blind may call 292-4066. |
