Mr. Dechart says he was not involved in student government govern-ment before two years ago when the school was forced to drop intercollegiate athletics due to financial difficulties. He was playing football for the school at that time. WHILE INDICATING he feels the all-intramural program prog-ram in force now is good, because be-cause it allows large student participation, Mr. Dechart says he hopes some intercollegiate intercolle-giate sports can be restored "next year or the year after," especially basketball, where the school previously scored three regional championships. His college government has seen service as executive vice president over student affairs and as a member of the judicial council. In addition, he was an intern at the Utah Intercollegiate Intercollegi-ate Assembly, a sort of mock student legislature where bills are drafted and some lobbying done. MR.
