Show By KATHI SJOBERG The election convention held last Thursday was very successful. Two candidates were chosen for each office in this convention. These final candidates were Lori Hill and Cris Connelly for secretary; Vernell Peterson and Mindy Fowler for second vice president; pres-ident; Todd Schwendiman and Ann Moss for first vice president; pres-ident; and Alan Newbold and Todd Gale for president. THESE candidates participated partici-pated in an election assembly on Monday of this week. Final voting was also conducted on Monday. However, final results re-sults were not known at this writing. This week the appointed studentbody officers are being selected. Appointed offices are historian, photographer, artist and publicity manager. . All juniors interested in these . ' offices should be in the process of applying. , v CHEERLEADER tryouts ; were held Monday in the assembly. Voting was held at lunch. Finals results were not known at this writing. The "Wizard of Oz" was presented last week by the drama dra-ma department, this was a great success. If you missed out on seeing the production, you missed something well worth your time. THE JUNIOR Prom is quickly drawing near. It will be held on Saturday, April 26. Junior Week will be April 21 through 26, many fun activities are planned there. The Wildcat baseball team had an unlucky week last week. They were defeated by Viewmont and West. They also played South on Friday, Bountiful on Tuesday, and will play West at Woods Cross on April 22. THE SOCCER team defeated defe-ated Highland last week. They also played West last week and Olympus earlier this week. They have a game with Bonneville Bonne-ville on Friday and will play again next Tuesday at Viewmont. View-mont. The track team defeated Bountiful last week. They have a meet today at South. They will also be participating in the Weber State Track Meet this weekend. THE TENNIS team made up a lot of their matches with the good weather last week. They had a match with Highland yesterday and another on Thursday at Viewmont. Have a super week Wildcats, Wild-cats, and hang in there. There : are only 27 more school days left! |
